ABOUT SOPHEA / Summer School Portal 2025

The 2025 East African Planetary Health Summer School brings together researchers, students, policy makers, and professionals to address the interconnection between human health and the health of our planet. This event will offer an interactive platform to exchange ideas, collaborate across disciplines, and explore sustainable solutions to pressing health and environmental challenges in the East African region.

The Summer School will be held at the Catholic University of Health and Allied Sciences (CUHAS) in Mwanza, Tanzania. CUHAS offers excellent facilities for interactive learning, group discussions, and community engagement activities.

About Mwanza Region

Mwanza is located on the southern shores of Lake Victoria, Africa's largest lake. Known for its scenic beauty, including the iconic Bismarck Rock and hilly landscapes, Mwanza offers a unique environmental and cultural setting.
