processes to ensure they are working well.
Our team operates with professionalism, integrity, objectivity, and confidentiality, adhering to
the International Professional Practices Framework (IPPF) of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA)
and regulations of the National Board of Accountants and Auditors (NBAA).
Ms. Bahati Michael Kilungu
Head Of Unit
ACPA Bahati Michael Kilungu is the Chief Internal Auditor and Head of the Internal Audit Unit at the Catholic University of Health and Allied Sciences (CUHAS).
In her strategic role, Bahati is the primary designer of the University’s Internal Audit strategy, ensuring institutional integrity and fiscal accountability. She serves as a bridge between operational governance and high-level oversight, liaising directly with University Management and reporting her findings to the Audit Committee and the University Council. Passionate about professional excellence and transparency, Bahati has led numerous initiatives to strengthen internal controls and risk management, driving a culture of compliance that supports CUHAS’s institutional stability and long-term growth.
Mr. Emmanuel Nyamilonda

Mr. Emmanuel Nyamilonda serves as the Principal Internal Auditor, reporting to the Chief Internal Auditor at CUHAS. In this capacity, he plays a pivotal role in supporting the organization’s audit function, ensuring that governance structures, risk management processes, and internal controls are both effective and aligned with best practices.
Emmanuel assists in the development of audit manuals, strategic risk audit plans and execution of audit engagements, preparing comprehensive reports, and offering constructive recommendations that strengthen accountability and transparency. His professional diligence is complemented by a collaborative approach, making him a valued member of the internal audit team.
Known for his commitment to excellence, Emmanuel brings not only technical expertise but also a human touch fostering trust, teamwork, and continuous improvement across the organization.
