»  We provide basic and applied principles of Epidemiology and Research Methodology in planning and provision of medical and health care services. The unit aims at enriching students and other stakeholders in Environmental determinants of health and diseases in human populations. Students and Stakeholders become knowledgeable in:

» Epidemiological methods in research and assessing community health needs, Research methods such as data collection, analysis and presentation of critical information to stakeholders and wider audience, Planning provisional medical and public health care services, Control of the major diseases of Public Health importance in Tanzania, Describe the Physical, Biological, Socio-cultural and Environmental factors affecting health and diseases, Identify agencies and services available to families and the extent to which they meet their needs.
